Reticule for Envisage 7.05 is an application that displays a cross hair (reticule) within the live tab of the AutoStar Envisage software. This version has been updated to work with the Envisage version 7.05 the latest version of the Envisage softwware at time this file was created. It is alsodesigned to work with Meade DSIc and DSI Pro, DSIc II, DSI Pro II, DSIc III and DSI Pro III. It has been tested with both the DSI I and DSI II family of imagers but although the code has been written to include the DSI III, since I don't access to any DSI IIIs I could not test the code. It also provides a grid that can be used to evaluate distance between objects displayed in the Live tab. When the grid is used you must enter the telescope effective focal length, including any barlow or focal reducer lens, in the Focal Length box so that the software can calculate the sky area covered by the Image sensor.
To run this program:
1) Start the Envisage V7.05 software with your imager connected. Select the imager tab to view the live image. This step must be peformed before running the Reticule software otherwise the program will not find the Envisage window.
2) Start the Reticule software.
3) Select the Imager corresponding to your DSI camera, once your selection is done it will be remembered the next time you start the program.
4) If you are going to be using the Measuring grid, enter the telescope effective focal length in mm including and focal reducer or barlow lens, this value will also be saved and restored the next time you run the program.
5) Make sure that the Zoom Window in the live imager tab is set to 100.
6) Select
the check box required Centering Reticule and/or Measuring
Grid.
The

This will
result in the following display in the envisage software.
If you
select the Measuring Grid option instead the following display will result for a
450 mm telescope (such as a SkyWatcher 114mm F4 Newtonian telescope).
